“You guys are going to be big, you’re going to go down in the history books!“
-Jerry Lawson, The Persuasions

-Sing Out! Magazine

“...if you dig on the soul music, All About Buford can and will put your hands together...Shake the booty, let it all hang loose”
-The Valley Advocate

VENUE QUOTES:

"'I want my money back'."

This happened shortly after All About Buford started singing.  Here is how the rest of the story went:

Ticket Person - 'I am sorry, do you not like the music?'

Audience member - 'It's not that.  It's that this was advertised as an 'a cappella' concert, and this is NOT a cappella.'

T.P. - 'But it is all a cappella, only voices.'

A.M. - 'No it's NOT.  You have drum tracks and bass tracks playing.'

T.P. - 'No, Mam.  Those are voices you are hearing.  All the sounds you are hearing are coming from the singers.'

The woman listened, then listened at the door going into the chapel.

Her last words were 'OH MY GOD!' as she ran back into the chapel.

Joe Antonioli, director
VT A Cappella Summit

"What is All About Buford? A world renowned vocal percussionist lays the groove for powerhouse diva voices to belt out catchy melodies and tight harmonies. Our audience was not only clapping along, but couldn't stop singing the 'Hoochie Mama' chorus! We'll definitely invite them back."
Jonathan Minkoff, President
The Contemporary A Cappella Society
Executive Director of CASA's East Coast A Cappella Summit

"I heard nothing but good about you guys. ABB did a fantastic job at The Point, and we look forward to seeing them continue to develop."
Jesse Lundy
The Point
Bryn Mawr, PA

"All About Buford rocked the house at The Sanctuary. They had the audience dancing in the aisles, and then lining up for autographs and CDs. Make sure to see them whenever you have a chance."
Scott Sheldon
concert coordinator
The Sanctuary Concerts
Berkeley Heights, NJ

"I was spellbound while listening to All About Buford perform a gorgeous a cappella rendition of 'Summertime.' The energy released from their inventive melodies, dramatic harmonies and rockin' rhythms engage an audience to the fullest extent!"
Sally Johnson
The Barre Folk Festival
Barre, MA

"Harmony layered on top of a driving beat - so much sound with only their voices. All About Buford brings a cappella music into the modern mainstream. They open up possibilities that future generations of musicians can not even begin to imagine they can accomplish - all with the sound of their marvelous voices and the force of their personalities. This is entertainment you can't beat anywhere."
Emily & John Ferreira
Soule Homestead and Joe Davies Productions, Inc.
Middleboro, MA

"All About Buford delivered a soul-satisfying sound to the enthusiastic crowd. From gospel-style 'Shackles,'through fresh interpretations of classics 'Summertime'and 'My Funny Valentine,'and closing with 'Freedom'by George Michael (with percussionist Wes Carroll singing!), there's no other word for it - this band just cooked!"
Debby Foner
producer, Spookapella
Natick Center for the Arts
Natick, MA

"We enjoyed their performance so much, that we just HAD to have them back."
John Swartz
